Trevor, we need to bring this back. We need drunken* bocce in Churchill Sqaure every lunch hour.

I need a bat-phone to the Mayor's office for these kinds of things.

(*Recogizing you didn't have beer the first time around.)

I also used to work for the Green Shack program. One summer the city and I actually did try implementing a program for adults in Churchill Square (from noon to one). It didn't really catch on, and ended up being mostly a few of my friends who worked downtown at the time and I playing extreme Bocce. We didn't think of bringing beer though, that would have helped. Mandel did stop by one day to throw the football around a bit with me, that was pretty fun. The whole point was to encourage adults to be more active.

Were you really? I'm so jealous. It looks like such a sweet deal, sitting in the sun, painting and doing crafts.

I was a 'green shack girl' for two summers. I am glad they are still running the program - I am certain it makes a huge positive impact on communities, and especially in the lives of the kids. I had a moose run through my park once. Good times.

The green shacks are also a good sign that summer has come to Edmonton!
