artsScene goes Jekyll and Hyde

While Mack D. Male has your best rundown on the party (of the summer?) last night, I do have to mention a few things about the artsScene Edmonton “Jekyll and Hyde Summer Party.”

Otherwise, Sally will think I’m just going to parties for no good reason.

I hit up the second half of the scene, the “Hyde,” if you will, at Prohibition. (Remember when this was the Stonehouse? Now it’s classy.) It was a good time, with plenty of people. It’s nice to see Edmonton has an artistic scene, and that people will come out to support it.

(I do think there was an inordinate amount of guys with beards though. Don’t get me wrong, I support the beard but it just seemed like this was where we were all hanging out last night.)

Oh, and if you watch the artsScene Edmonton website, you will probably see photos of the evening soon. Including those great party photo booth-style ones that make people look awesome or dorky. Mine are going to look dorky.

Now… some pictures of the event, so Sally knows that I am always working.

Here's where the fun happened.

Lots of good people and good times, note the old "Jekyl and Hyde" movie playing on TV screens.

Pete Sagar was one of many artists performing.

This is the "Hyde." They had a drink named the "Jekyl" at the first venue.

Of course there was art. It was also for sale.

More fun.

More fun.

I was only distracted by Bocce for one game. Yes, Prohibition has bocce and I am now a convert.

    “Working”. Right.

You can clearly see I networked with people, such as Mack, took numerous photos to showcase the many aspects of the event and observed interesting things such as a plethora of dudes with beards. All reported to the edmontonian audience.

I only had the drink because it was called the “Hyde” and I think that gave me a deeper understanding of the event.
