		<description>I had the pleasure of interviewing Val when I was first thinking about getting back into design, &amp; since then I&#039;ve completed the Digital Multimedia Production program at Guru Digital Arts College, began my own design business, and plan on taking the same training that she did.

When you&#039;re freelancing you rely on all different kinds of networking to survive, and treating other freelancers like allies rather than rivals is a smart move.

Plus, having an ally like Val ain&#039;t a bad thing either.
