Just another picture of another building. Or is it?
Good morning!
Well, there’s been debate about a new arena for the Oilers, there’s been debate about a downtown arena, but now that debate is on in earnest. I write this before diving into websites to look at the top morning stories.
I know, without looking, that everyone is going to have at least one story on the big announcement from the Oilers. Owner Daryl Katz (sometimes referred to as Batman/Bruce Wayne due to his loads of money and shunning of the limelight) had his right-hand man Patrick LaForge (clearly we must see him as the Robin in all of this) announce that, yes, the owner of the hockey team wants a downtown arena and is securing land for such (not clear just which block of downtown yet).
I just get the feeling it’s going to happen for 2014. That’s when the current lease of Rexall Place expires.
Good or bad for Edmonton? A priority of development in the city? What of the current Northlands site? Will this be a slam dunk at City Hall?
Who said planning stories were boring?

I am already tired of arena stories. Though, I was wrong about one thing. As far as I can see City TV isn’t really updating their “news” section so they don’t technically have an arena story.
Bruce Wayne didn’t shun the spotlight. The spotlight was part of his cover. He’d pretend to get drunk and chill with a bunch of hot models and act like a coward so that nobody would suspect that he was Batman.
GET A NEW ANALOGY
I think it depends on which version of Bruce Wayne we’re talking about.
Most of the time he’s kind of playing it cool, not trying to attract loads of attention. But then Christian Bale gets a hold of him…
