Foggy Edmonton Morning Headlines

Ahh! Ghost cars!

Ahh! Ghost cars!

Now THAT is some fog out there. Hope you weren’t too slowed up by that thick mess this morning, Edmonton.

Does anybody else have to, at least for one moment, remind themselves that there won’t be any ghosts in the fog? Or monsters. Or Marcia Gay Harden?

There’s a lot to be read today, so I’ll just step back into the mist and let you get down to business.

from the Edmonton Journal:

Daggers drawn for Stelmach (Anybody else remember when Daveberta linked Premier Ed to the last Premier to lose a dynasty? I keep thinking about that…)

NDP want riding named for Notley (That would be Grant Notley. It’s probably a bit presumptuous to ask for one to be named for Rachel.)

Centennial Centre ‘more complicated’ than a hospital

from the Edmonton Sun:

City hopes to spare pets

Operation 24 Hours nabs over 1,000 speeders

‘Be their hope’ (Alberta looking for adoptive and foster parents.)

from Metro Edmonton:

Costumes for pets called ‘inhumane’ (But still really cute.)

from 630CHED/iNews880:

Panhandling campaign falls short of goal (Do you give to panhandlers or charities that help them?)

from CBC Edmonton:

More beat cops for downtown Edmonton

Wildrose party leader to run for Calgary seat

from CTV Edmonton:

U of A students will pay more to cover massive debt

from Global Edmonton:

Construction update (How many city workers does it take to fill a pothole?)

Good luck out there.
