Edmonton Headlines: November 3

Skyline - 4Good day to you, fair Edmonton.

I trust, by now, you are adjusted to the time change and have already forgotten about daylight beyond 6:30pm.

Once we pass Hallowe’en I am fully ready to see winter. Before that, I just get demoralized. Maybe I just need all the extra sugar from the candy to prepare for winter.

Speaking of sugar, I am in love with Second Cup’s dark chocolate latte and telling the world. I know it’s likely terrible for me, but once it hits your taste buds it’s so good.

But I digress.

Today’s news (surprise!) has a bunch of H1N1 stories. Hey, the health minister says vaccination has been a success so far. I think I get where he’s coming from, but maybe I’d tone down the “s” word when people are waiting for 5 hours to get a shot, then have no clinics for shots, then have no idea if the provincial government could plan a trip to the Legislature.
