Next week, this will have become a beautiful addition to a mall.
Mmm, smells like fresh-baked Friday out there. Yes, we made it through one more week, Edmonton.
Soon it will be time to cut loose and stay at home in fear of H1N1. Don’t forget to wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, and run screaming from anyone who coughs. I may have made one of those up.
Of course there are more H1N1 stories today, this story’s got legs and we’re in the midst of the “second wave” of the flu.
Vaccine clinics are still for little kids and pregnant ladies (when I say it like that it sounds disparaging), so you and I will continue to sit this out until those deemed the highest-risk have their immunizations.
Thankfully, there’s plenty of good and interesting news to help us pass the flu shot-free time.

Health care Albertans’ top concern, survey shows (Is there ever any doubt?)
Wildrose Alliance’s gains dismissed (And they will be, until an election proves them true.)

Kingsway Light (First Southgate revamps, now Kingsway does the same.)
South LRT work to disrupt Edmonton traffic
Free pizza goes in a flash (Edmontonians love civic debate, and pizza.)
MADD ‘frustrated’ drunk driving still occurs
Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach faces critical Tory party vote on his leadership (Will they support him? Will they turf him?)

I think we had so much fun together we’ll do this again next week.
ZOMG The H1N1 Vaccine is like the Wii! It’s for old people and babies!!! (and people with asthma…?)
ba-ZING!
I pretty much laughed out loud at the opening transition, “Thankfully there’s plenty of good and interesting news to pass the flu shot free time.”
First headline, “Alberta job losses lead nation”.
I should like to see a baby playing some Wii sports.
It does appear there are more of us with more time off to read headlines…
