January 28th Edmonton, AB Headlines

You can rest soon, Ugly Betty. You can rest soon.

I think we talk a lot, Edmonton. And maybe we talk about ourselves a lot.

I mean, if you look at the new Twitter local trends, you can see Edmonton (#yeg) is one of the ten most talked about things in Canada, by tweeters. Then again, maybe that just goes to prove that our online community is truly engaged. You’d have to be to have enough mentions to surpass cities that are larger and have more people on Twitter.

Or maybe we just like talking about ourselves.

One thing I know, from the headlines, is that we have a lot of art gallery, arena and health care to talk about.

from the Edmonton Journal:

Ponies could make way for pucks (When do they send the Oilers to the glue factory?)

from the Edmonton Examiner:

School aims to raise 18K for Haiti

Good Neighbour Awards nomination period set to open (I don’t hate my neighbours. Is that good enough?)

from The Canadian Press:

Fees in hospital emergency rooms not in the cards for Albertans: health minister

from CBC Edmonton:

More activities needed in Churchill Square, council told (This weekend: pants party.)

Parents plead to protect disability programs

from CTV Edmonton:

from Global Edmonton:

from SEE Magazine:

from Vue Weekly:

Now, make it happen.

These idiots can’t figure out how to remove snow off of the streets of a northern city and now they’re ready to sort out the sex trade?

    Good luck with that.
